How to use Hinge Template Kit
STEP ONE
- Mark edge of the door at the top.
- Place the template on the door. Flush it up with the top on door side of the template.
- Mark the top of the hinge.
- Slide the template to the bottom of the door and make flush and mark the top of the hinge.
STEP TWO
- Place the template on the top of the jamb stile.
- Mark the top of the hinge.
- Place jamb stile on top of the door and line up both top hinge marks and mark top of the bottom hinge off the door.
STEP THREE
- Clamp the jig to the door and jamb while lining up the template with the top of hinge marks.
- Set router bit to hinge depth ( hinge thickness+15mm) and cut out with electric router while using the correct PPE.
